About

Stephanie Blythman began designing costumes at Trinity College Dublin's DU Players nearly ten years ago. During her time there she costumed over 13 productions before going on to study Costume Design and Make Up at Inchicore College.

Whilst at Inchicore, she was assistant designer for aerial show Bunk in the Dublin Fringe Festival 2013, before going on to design for devised show Adventures in Failure at Smock Alley Theatre in 2014. After graduation she designed AC Productions' Timon of Athens at the Project Arts Centre and Fortune's Fool Productions' Much Ado About Nothing in the Iveagh Gardens.

An internship at Angels Costumes in 2015 led on to working in film and TV, where she has worked up from trainee to buyer, on various productions for the BBC, Netflix, Disney and Marvel.

Stephanie has a BA in Drama Studies and French from Trinity College Dublin, a FETAC Level 5/6 in Costume Design and Make Up from Inchicore College of Further Education, and an MA in History of Design from the V&A/Royal College of Art. In 2019 she took part in the ScreenSkills Trainee Programme for High End Television.

Alongside her costume work she also continues her own research stemming from her MA dissertation on Early Modern performance costume.
